ALPHA 1 LITE - 12V 100Ah LiFePO4 Battery

The least expensive way into 12V lithium storage that we are willing to sell. The ALPHA 1 LITE gives you the same 1,280Wh and the same Group 24 footprint as the standard ALPHA 1, and drops the two features you may not need: the internal heater and the Bluetooth radio.

Why this battery

• 1,280Wh from 100Ah at 12.8V nominal, with 100A continuous discharge - the same working capacity as the ALPHA 1 above it.
• Rated for 4,000+ cycles at 80% depth of discharge. That is fewer than the 5,000 on the ALPHA 1 and the 7,000 on the PRO, but still several times what a lead-acid bank of the same size will give you.
• Smart BMS handles overcharge, over-discharge, overcurrent, short circuit, cell balancing and low-temperature charge lockout.
• Case is moulded from UL94 V-0 rated plastic, the self-extinguishing grade.
• Charging shuts off below 32°F, at 129°F ± 9°F on the high side, and discharge stops at 167°F ± 9°F.
• Read this before you buy: there is no heating element. Below freezing the LITE will simply refuse to charge until it warms up on its own. If the battery lives in an unheated bay or a boat that winters in the water, spend the extra on the ALPHA 1 - the heater is the whole difference and it is the difference that matters in cold country. There is also no Bluetooth, so state of charge has to come from a shunt or the inverter display.
• At 24.3 lb it is about a third the weight of the lead-acid battery it replaces.

Installation

• Case measures 10.2 x 6.6 x 8.3 in, a standard Group 24 footprint that fits most existing trays.
• Charge on a LiFePO4 profile at 14.4V ± 0.2V. A 20A lithium charger takes roughly six hours from empty.
• About 400W of solar covers a full recharge in one clear day.
• A 20A DC-DC charger from an alternator or generator takes about six hours.
• Maximum charge current is 100A; size your controller and DC-DC charger below that.
• Charge window 32°F to 131°F, discharge window -4°F to 140°F.
