This is a whole-house class inverter rather than a cabin unit. It produces true 120/240V split-phase power, so well pumps, air conditioners and electric dryers run directly off it without a transformer, and it can work grid-tied, fully off-grid, or as a hybrid that uses the grid only when it needs to.

Why this inverter

  • 10,000W continuous output at 120/240V split-phase, or 120/208V if you are on a three-phase service. Nominal output current is 41.7A per phase.
  • Accepts up to 12,000W of PV across two independent MPPT trackers, 2 x 18A with a 30A peak, over a 120-550VDC window. Startup voltage is 125V, so a single low-voltage string will not wake it.
  • Charges the battery bank at up to 200A, whether that current comes from solar, from AC, or from both together.
  • Six units can be paralleled for larger loads.
  • Peak DC-to-AC efficiency is 91%. That is honest mid-pack for a hybrid of this size rather than best-in-class, and it means roughly 900W of heat at full output.
  • Safety hardware is built in rather than bolted on: 300A DC and 60A AC breakers, arc-fault detection and rapid shutdown to NEC 690.11 and 690.12, ground fault detection to NEC 690.5, and PV lightning protection.
  • Certified to UL 1741SA/SB, CSA C22.2 No. 107.1 and IEEE 1547, CEC-listed, and compliant with California Rule 21 and Hawaii Rule 14H — which matters if you intend to interconnect legally.
  • WiFi monitoring with a mobile app, RS485 for closed-loop BMS communication, and an external CT sensor for zero-export or full self-consumption setups.

Installation

  • It weighs 112 lb and measures 8.5 x 20.3 x 28.1 inches. This is a two-person lift onto a structural wall, not a stud-and-drywall mount.
  • Rated IP65, so outdoor mounting is permitted, but the operating range is -13 F to 140 F and it derates above 113 F. Shade it in hot climates or you will lose output on exactly the days you need it.
  • Battery voltage window is 40-62VDC on a 48V nominal bank.
  • Grid-interactive installation requires utility interconnection approval and, in most jurisdictions, a licensed electrician. Budget for that.
  • Communication ports: RS232, RS485, WiFi and USB.

Warranty

  • Covered by Rich Solar's standard limited warranty. The manufacturer does not state a specific term on this product page, so confirm the current coverage period with us before purchase.
