Every product we sell is covered by its manufacturer's warranty. Terms differ by brand and by product type, so find your product below. If something goes wrong, contact Sun Energy Depot first — we will help work out whether it is a warranty issue and coordinate with the manufacturer so you are not shipping heavy equipment back and forth unnecessarily.

Rich Solar
Rigid solar panels — 25-year power output, 10-year workmanship
- 25-year power output warranty — the panel keeps producing its rated output over time.
- 10-year workmanship warranty — defects in materials and manufacturing.
- Covers the original purchaser only; not transferable.
Both terms are prorated: 100% in years 1–3, then 85% (year 4), 70% (5), 55% (6), 40% (7), 25% (8), 10% (9) and 5% (10). You pay the remaining percentage toward replacement.
Not covered: accident, abuse, misuse or misapplication; service by anyone other than Rich Solar; unauthorized modification; removed or defaced serial numbers; products bought through online auction sites.
Portable solar panels — 25-year power output, 5-year workmanship
The panel carries 25 years on power output and 5 years on workmanship (prorated 100% / 80% / 60% / 40% / 20% across years 1–5). The charge controller supplied with portable kits is covered for 2 years.
Flexible solar panels — 1 year
Flexible panels carry a 1-year full-replacement warranty, much shorter than rigid panels. Flexible laminates are more prone to delamination and micro-cracking than glass-fronted panels. If your mounting surface allows a rigid panel, that is usually the better long-term buy.
ALPHA & ALPHA LITE lithium batteries — 5 years, prorated
Prorated 100% / 80% / 60% / 40% / 20% across years 1–5. If you want longer coverage, the ALPHA PRO range carries 10 years.
Important — this voids more battery warranties than anything else: the battery must be fully charged within 7 days of purchase and recharged at least once every 6 months. Leaving it sitting discharged voids coverage. Improper installation, accident, abuse or modification are also not covered.
ALPHA PRO lithium batteries — 10 years, prorated
Applies to ALPHA 1 PRO, ALPHA 2 PRO and ALPHA 5 PRO. 100% in years 1–3, then 85%, 70%, 55%, 40%, 25%, 10% and 5% in years 4–10. The same 7-day initial charge and 6-month recharge rule applies.
NOVA inverters — 2 to 3 years
- Hybrid inverters (NOVA 6K, NOVA 12K, NOVA MAX): 3 years — 100% / 65% / 30%.
- Pure sine wave inverters (NOVA PURE): 2 years — 100% / 50%.
Inverter faults are often configuration rather than hardware, so phone troubleshooting resolves many cases.
BRAVO charge controllers
- MPPT: 2 years (100% year one, 50% year two).
- PWM: 1 year, full replacement.
Accessories, mounts, cables and all other products — 1 year
Brackets, cables, connectors, breakers, monitors, remotes and cable glands carry one year from the original purchase date.
How to make a Rich Solar claim
- Contact Sun Energy Depot first — we will help determine whether it is a warranty matter.
- Rich Solar technicians troubleshoot by phone at 1-800-831-9889.
- If testing is needed, get an RMA number before returning anything.
- Ship to Rich Solar, 1900 Mountain Ave, Norco, CA 92860, with the RMA number clearly marked and proof of purchase. You pay shipping to Rich Solar.
- If the unit is confirmed defective, Rich Solar pays return shipping within North America.
Registration is not required. Registering within 30 days establishes your start date, and your Sun Energy Depot invoice is accepted as proof of purchase. Rich Solar's full warranty policy
SunGoldPower
12V & 24V LiFePO4 batteries — 5 years
Covers the 12V 100AH, 12V 200AH and 24V 100AH batteries. Original purchaser only.
48V server rack & powerwall batteries — 10 years
Covers the SG48100P server rack, SG48100M powerwall and SGH48100T self-heating batteries, with free technical support for the life of the warranty. Original purchaser only.
Solar panels, inverters, complete kits and accessories
SunGoldPower's warranty terms vary by product line. Please contact us before you buy and we will confirm the exact coverage for the product you are considering. A complete kit contains panels, an inverter and batteries, and each component carries its own term.
How to make a SunGoldPower claim
- Within the first year: replacement parts are supplied free and shipping is covered.
- After the first year, within the warranty period: parts are still free, but you pay shipping.
- Contact Sun Energy Depot first and we will coordinate with SunGoldPower. For heavy batteries and inverters, do not ship anything until the fault has been diagnosed.
Not covered: misuse, abuse, modification, accidental damage, or use outside normal consumer application. SunGoldPower's full warranty policy
