Shipping Policy
Thank you for shopping at Sun Energy Depot. This Shipping Policy outlines how we handle order processing, shipping times, costs, and delivery for products purchased through sunenergydepot.com.
Order Processing
Orders are processed within 1–3 business days (Monday–Friday, excluding holidays) after payment is confirmed. Orders placed on weekends or holidays will begin processing the next business day.
You will receive an order confirmation email immediately after placing your order, followed by a shipping confirmation with tracking information once your order leaves the warehouse.
Shipping Times
Sun Energy Depot ships from multiple U.S.-based supplier warehouses to get your order to you as quickly as possible. Estimated transit times after processing:
- Standard Ground Shipping: 3–10 business days
- Freight/Oversized Items (panels, batteries, kits): 5–14 business days
- Remote areas (Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, rural addresses): Additional 3–7 business days
Delivery times are estimates and not guaranteed. Carrier delays, weather, and high-demand periods may affect transit times.
Shipping Costs
- Free standard shipping on orders over $299 within the contiguous United States
- Orders under $299: shipping calculated at checkout based on weight, size, and destination
- Freight shipments (large/heavy items) may require a liftgate or curbside delivery — fees are calculated at checkout
- Expedited shipping is available on select items — contact us before ordering for a quote
Shipping Destinations
We currently ship to all 50 U.S. states, including Alaska, Hawaii, and U.S. territories. We do not ship internationally at this time.
Shipments to Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, and remote areas may incur additional charges and longer transit times. P.O. boxes and APO/FPO addresses are not supported for oversized or freight items.
Freight & Large Item Deliveries
Solar panels, complete kits, lithium batteries, and other oversized items ship via freight carrier. For freight deliveries:
- The carrier will contact you to schedule a delivery appointment
- Someone must be present to receive and inspect the shipment
- Standard freight delivery is curbside only — moving the item onto your property is your responsibility
- Liftgate service is recommended and available for an added fee at checkout
- Inspect all packages before signing. Note any visible damage on the delivery receipt before the driver leaves
Damaged or Lost Shipments
If your order arrives damaged or is lost in transit:
- For visible damage: Note the damage on the delivery receipt before signing, take clear photos of the packaging and product, and contact us within 48 hours of delivery
- For concealed damage: Take photos and contact us within 5 business days of delivery
- For lost shipments: Contact us if tracking shows no movement for 10+ business days
Email all damage or loss claims to support@sunenergydepot.com with your order number, photos, and a description of the issue. We'll work directly with the carrier and supplier to resolve the issue with a replacement, refund, or store credit.
Claims submitted outside these windows may not be eligible for resolution due to carrier policies.
Order Tracking
You'll receive a tracking number by email once your order ships. Tracking updates may take 24–48 hours to appear in the carrier's system.
For orders shipping from multiple warehouses, you may receive separate tracking numbers for different items in the same order. This is normal and does not indicate an issue.
Address Accuracy
Please double-check your shipping address at checkout. We are not responsible for orders shipped to incorrect addresses provided by the customer. If a package is returned due to an incorrect address, the customer is responsible for re-shipping fees.
Sales Tax
Sales tax is calculated at checkout based on your shipping address and applicable state and local tax laws.
