A 6.5kW hybrid inverter aimed at cabins, tiny homes and larger RV builds — systems big enough to need real power but not big enough to justify a split-phase whole-house unit. It runs 120VAC single-phase, takes up to 8000W of solar across two MPPT trackers, and will operate with or without a battery attached.

Why this inverter

  • 6500VA / 6500W continuous with a 13,000VA surge, which is enough headroom for compressor and pump startup.
  • 8000W of PV input split as two 4000W MPPT trackers, so you can run two differently-oriented arrays without them dragging each other down.
  • Charges at up to 120A from solar, from AC, or combined, with three selectable modes: solar first, solar and grid together, or solar only.
  • Three load priority modes let you decide whether the grid, the panels or the battery serves the loads first — the difference between a system that saves money and one that just works.
  • Battery-independent design. It will run loads on solar alone with no battery connected, which is unusual and genuinely useful for daytime-only workshop or pump duty.
  • Works with AGM and a range of lithium protocols including Pylontech, WECO, Soltaro and LIB-Protocol, with a reserved BMS port (RS485, CAN-BUS or RS232).
  • WiFi monitoring through Rich Solar's Android and iOS app, RGB status lighting, on-board data logging and USB on-the-go transfer.
  • The cooling fan is user-replaceable, which matters more than it sounds — fans are the usual first failure on inverters of this class.

Be aware before you buy

  • Output is 120VAC single-phase only. It will not run a 240V well pump or dryer on its own; that needs two units configured for split phase.
  • Peak efficiency is 91%, which is mid-pack rather than class-leading.
  • No-load consumption is under 75W. Over a day of idling that is close to 1.8kWh, so if the system sits unloaded for long stretches, plan for that drain or shut it down.
  • Rich Solar's own page gives two different operating temperature figures. The specification table says 14 F to 104 F; the marketing text says 14 F to 122 F. We have listed the specification table value as the conservative one.
  • MPPT input window is 90-230VDC with a 250VDC absolute open-circuit ceiling. Size strings for the coldest morning you expect, not the average day.

Installation

  • 44 lb and 6.2 x 19.8 x 20.9 inches — a manageable one-person wall mount, unlike the larger NOVA units.
  • 48VDC nominal battery bank, floating at 54VDC with overcharge protection at 66VDC.
  • Includes a built-in anti-dust kit, but this is an indoor-rated unit; no IP rating is published.
  • Optional 12VDC 100W auxiliary output is available for a small fan, LED lighting or a router.
  • Up to six units can be paralleled in single-phase, split-phase or three-phase for a maximum of 39kW.

Warranty

  • Covered by Rich Solar's standard limited warranty. No specific term is published on the product page, so ask us to confirm the current coverage period before you buy.
