A bifacial panel generates from both faces — the front collects direct sun, the back picks up light bouncing off whatever is underneath. Over gravel, a white membrane roof, or snow, the MEGA 430 can return up to 25% more energy than a comparable single-sided panel. Over dark asphalt or grass, considerably less. It pays off when you can mount it high enough for light to reach behind, which makes it a natural fit for ground mounts, carports, and elevated racking.
