ALPHA 3 LITE - 12V 300Ah LiFePO4 Battery

Three hundred amp-hours at 12V with a 300A BMS - meaning the battery can deliver its full capacity in an hour if the load asks for it. That current rating is the ALPHA 3 LITE's real selling point, and it is what makes it workable behind a large inverter.

Why this battery

• 300A continuous charge and discharge through the built-in smart BMS. At 12V that is roughly 3,600W of continuous draw, so a 3,000W inverter runs at full output from a single battery.
• 300Ah of LiFePO4 storage, about 3,840Wh, in one case.
• Rated for 4,000+ lifetime cycles.
• Expandable in a 4P4S configuration - up to four in parallel and four in series, so the same battery can build a 12V bank now and a 48V bank later.
• IP65 rated against water and dust, in a UL94 V-0 flame-retardant shell.
• Read this before you buy: no internal heater and no Bluetooth. Below freezing this battery stops accepting a charge, and state of charge has to come from a shunt or your inverter. The standard ALPHA 3 adds both for roughly $240 more at our price - if the battery lives outside or in an unheated bay, that is money well spent.

Installation

• Size cabling and fusing for the full 300A the BMS will pass, not for your typical load. This is the most common mistake on a battery with this current rating.
• Charge on a LiFePO4 profile. Charge voltage, weight and case dimensions are published only in the manufacturer's specification PDF - check them before sizing a controller or building a box.
• For series or parallel strings, follow the 4P4S limit and keep batteries of matched age and state of charge together.
• Keep the battery above freezing while charging; there is no heater.

• Covered by Rich Solar's limited warranty. No 10-year term is published for the LITE - ask us to confirm the current term before ordering.
• Rich Solar states the battery has passed extreme-performance safety testing against fire, explosion and leakage. That is manufacturer testing rather than a third-party listing.
• California Proposition 65 warning applies: this product can expose you to chemicals known to cause cancer and reproductive harm.
