The BRAVO 60 is the largest controller in this range and the only one that publishes expansion ports: Rich Solar lists both an external battery temperature sensor and an external digital remote display as options for it, where the BRAVO 40 and 50 pages list neither. It takes 900W of array at 12V, and 60 amps absorbs roughly 865W at bulk voltage, so it is sized to that figure rather than clipping it.

Why this controller

  • 60 amps of charge current on a 12V or 24V bank, with system voltage detected automatically.
  • 900W of array at 12V or 1800W at 24V, both close to what 60 amps genuinely takes at the relevant bus voltage.
  • Supports an external battery temperature sensor and an external digital remote display. Both are optional and neither is supplied, but the ports exist, which is not true of the 40 and 50 as published.
  • PV open-circuit input rated to 100V DC.
  • Eight battery presets: crystal, GEL, AGM, wet and calcium on the lead-acid side, LCO, LiFePO4 and LTO on the lithium side.
  • Reverse-discharge and over-voltage protection, conformal coating on the board, and charging data stored on the unit.
  • Rich Solar publishes above 99.5 percent MPPT tracking efficiency and up to 98 percent conversion efficiency. Both are peak figures under favourable conditions.
  • The manufacturer's title claims this was awarded the number one solar controller of 2025. No awarding body, publication or basis appears anywhere on the page, so read it as advertising rather than an independent result.

Worth knowing before you order

  • If you are also looking at our older 60 Amp MPPT Solar Charge Controller listing, this one is substantially cheaper and newer. The superseded unit is the more expensive of the two in our store by a wide margin. Compare the two pages before deciding.
  • Like the BRAVO 50, this model carries no published UL1741 certification. The BRAVO 30 and 40 both state it; the 50 and 60 do not, and no certificate is offered for download. If your installation must pass an inspection that asks for listed equipment, settle this with Rich Solar first.
  • Neither Bluetooth nor an onboard display is listed in the features or the specification table. The optional remote display is the wired answer here; the BRAVO 30 is the model in this range that publishes built-in Bluetooth.
  • This is a noticeably larger box than the 40 and 50: 7.9 by 7.7 by 3.3 inches against 7.7 by 5.5 by 2.9, and 4.18 lb against 3.09. Check the space on your panel before ordering.
  • This unit uses a common NEGATIVE connection. The sealed BRAVO Waterproof PWM controllers are the opposite, common positive, so do not carry assumptions between the two ranges.
  • The protection rating is split: IP43 for the circuit board, IP22 for the connection area. IP22 covers fingers and dripping water and nothing more, so this belongs inside a vehicle or a dry compartment.
  • No MPPT voltage tracking window and no operating temperature range are published for this model. Ask before planning a high-voltage string rather than assuming the 100V open-circuit figure is the whole story.
  • At 60 amps, cable sizing and fusing on the battery side deserve real attention. Size conductors for the actual run length, not the minimum.
  • A California Proposition 65 warning applies to this product.

Warranty

  • Rich Solar's published warranty on charge controllers runs two years and is prorated: full coverage in the first year, 50 percent in the second.
  • Claims are handled by Rich Solar directly. Register the product and keep your invoice.
