ALPHA 2 LITE - 12V 200Ah LiFePO4 Battery

The budget route to 200Ah at 12V. The ALPHA 2 LITE carries the same 2,560Wh as the standard ALPHA 2 and gives up the internal heater and the Bluetooth radio to get the price down.

Why this battery

• 2,560Wh of LiFePO4 storage in one case - the practical size for a van or trailer running a compressor fridge alongside an inverter.
• Rated for 4,000 lifetime cycles. Fewer than the 5,000 on the standard ALPHA 2, but still far beyond what lead-acid delivers at the same capacity.
• Cells are individually fused. If one cell fails, that cell drops out rather than taking the pack with it - a construction detail worth more than it sounds.
• BMS protection covers excessive heat, short circuit and individual cell failure.
• Read this before you buy: there is no internal heating element and no Bluetooth. In freezing weather the LITE will refuse to charge until it warms up, and you will need a shunt or an inverter display to read state of charge. If the battery lives in an unheated compartment through winter, the standard ALPHA 2 is the one to buy.

Installation

• Charge on a LiFePO4 profile. Rich Solar does not publish charge voltage, charge current, case dimensions or weight in text for this model, so check the specification PDF before sizing a controller or building a battery box.
• Terminals are standard threaded posts; torque to the figure in the manual and use correctly sized lugs.
• Keep the battery above freezing while charging. There is no heater to do it for you.

• Covered by Rich Solar's limited warranty. The 10-year term published for the PRO models does not apply to the LITE - ask us to confirm the current term before ordering.
• California Proposition 65 warning applies: this product can expose you to chemicals known to cause cancer and reproductive harm.
