MEGA 100 SLIM SLX - 100 Watt Slim Solar Panel

At 15.8 inches wide, this 100-watt panel fits the narrow strips of roof that a standard 100W module overhangs, such as the space beside a vent, a fan, or an air conditioner shroud on a van or truck camper. It puts a full 100 watts where a conventionally shaped panel would not sit at all.

Why this panel

• Ten-busbar monocrystalline cells reach 22.6% conversion efficiency, so the reduced footprint does not cost you output per square foot.
• Thirty cells wired for a nominal 12V system: 17.3V at maximum power, 5.78A, with a 21.8V open-circuit reading.
• Output tolerance runs 0 to +5W, so a panel never leaves the line under its rated wattage.
• The 3.2 mm tempered front glass carries an anti-reflective coat, which helps at the shallow sun angles you get early and late in the day.
• Rated to 5400 Pa snow load and 2400 Pa wind load, which leaves margin for highway speeds and winter parking.
• Each unit is electroluminescence-scanned twice to catch cell microcracks, and the cell stack is PID-resistant.
• Listed to UL 61730, IEC 61215 and CSA C22.2, the paperwork most RV parks and insurers ask for.
• Low-light output is usable but still scales with available irradiance; a cloudy day is a cloudy day.

Mounting and wiring

• Twelve pre-drilled holes in the anodized aluminum frame accept Z-brackets, tilt legs, pole mounts or a ground rack.
• Three-foot 12 AWG leads terminate in MC4 connectors, so panels join in series or parallel without cutting cable.
• Junction box and connectors are sealed to IP67 against rain and road spray.
• Works with off-grid charge controllers and grid-tie inverters; size the controller around 6.06A short-circuit current per panel.
