MEGA 100 SLIM - 100 Watt Slim Solar Panel

A 100 watt panel shaped for roofs that have run out of width. At 50 by 15.8 inches the SLIM is a foot narrower than a standard MEGA 100 and about a foot longer, which lets it sit alongside a fan, rack or AC shroud where a conventional panel simply will not fit. It also uses newer cells than the standard model, so the narrower panel gives up nothing in output.

Why this panel

• 34 N-type TOPCon cells with 16 busbars, rated up to 25.1% efficiency - a meaningful step above the 22.6% PERC cells in the standard MEGA 100.
• Full 100 watts at 12 volts from a footprint of only 5.5 square feet.
• Power tolerance of 0 to +5 watts, so the panel meets or beats its nameplate.
• N-type cells degrade more slowly than PERC and hold output better at high roof temperatures.
• 3.2 mm anti-reflective tempered glass for light transmission and impact resistance.
• Qualification tested for UV exposure, thermal cycling and humidity freeze; PID-resistant and 100% electroluminescence-inspected for micro-cracks.
• Rated to 2400 Pa wind and 5400 Pa snow, certified to UL 61730, IEC 61215 and CSA C22.2.

Mounting and wiring

• Anodized aluminum frame, corrosion-resistant and light enough to handle alone at 12.4 lb.
• 12 pre-drilled holes for Z-brackets, tilt legs, pole mounts or ground racking.
• Pre-attached 12 AWG leads with MC4 connectors, three feet on each pole.
• Compatible with off-grid and grid-tie inverters. At 23.6 V open circuit the string voltage is slightly higher than the standard MEGA 100, which is worth checking if you are mixing panel types on one controller.
