100 Amp Power Converter - 100A 120V AC to 12V DC Converter Charger

This is the box that keeps a house battery topped up and the 12 volt circuits alive while you are plugged into shore power. It suits two situations: replacing a tired converter in an older trailer, or filling the gap in a build that has no AC-to-DC charging at all. At 100 amps it has enough headroom to charge a large lithium bank while the usual 12 volt loads keep running.

Why this converter

Installation

• Wired as a direct swap for a conventional RV converter: 120 V AC in on its own 15 amp circuit, DC out to the distribution bus.
• At 100 amps the DC run needs cable and overcurrent protection sized for that current. Reusing the leads from a smaller converter is not safe.
• Mount it where the fan has clear air on both sides. Sustained high output produces real heat, and a cramped bay will drive it into thermal limiting.
